God does not bless sinful people to the degree that he blesses obedient people. Sex between unmarried men and women is sin (fornication), and generally, God will not bless its participants or its offspring to the same degree that He will bless those who practice obedient sex, or bless those who are the result of obedient sex. Most children who are born of unwed parents are more disadvantaged in moral discipline and material benefits during much of their lives.
God has always considered women who have sex outside of marriage to be harlots (whores) (Gen 34:31; Lev 19:29, Eze 16:32-36). Here, He is expressing the same attitude toward men who lay with harlots. Men who have sex with harlots become "as one" with them; in God's eyes, the men become whores too! A Christian fornicator is actually taking his body and defiling it with a harlot, though his body has been dedicated (sold) to Christ and is now owned by Him.
Many people are diseased as a reward for their sexual sin (fornication) (Dt 28). AIDS, syphilis, genital herpes and gonorrhea are obvious examples of this. But can you discount cancer, TB, MS, MD or polio as being a punishment for sexual sin? 1Cor 7:2 . . . to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. This is God's prescription to avoid sexual sin. Marriage is the difference between legal and illegal sex. Besides disobeying God, illegal sex places most of the financial advantage with the man. Women take the majority of risk in fornication and foot most of the bills. The man is not as concerned as is the woman if the condom isn't foolproof, if the pill doesn't work or if the IUD slips. He rarely will have to face raising a child, face putting the baby up for adoption or face considering an abortion (God forbid) as a result of his one night stand, where he did not know the woman's name. But she will have to face these difficulties, often alone. Women's liberation gives FABULOUS ADVANTAGES to a secular man who does not fear God. He is pursued for sex, by women who do not want him to be responsible for the outcome. Yet, God does not free any man from his duty to raise in a godly way, the children from his body. A woman may have to endure morning sickness during pregnancy, regardless of her marital state. But in marriage, the man usually assumes most of the financial responsibility for fathering children.
God is the "Rancher" of the earth. He raises "sheep" who worship Him. Like any rancher, God takes steps to increase the number of profitable sheep (people who will properly worship Him). Also, like any rancher, God destroys unprofitable "sheep" who will disease or put at risk, a substantial portion of the 'flock'. The people who murder His babies by abortion or who 'disease' the remaining people by their destructive habits and their disobedient example (e.g., homosexuals, prostitutes, drug addicts, etc.), will receive the curses of sickness, disease, financial troubles and violence in their lives. God shortens their lives to remove them from the flock, that the flock might remain more healthy (Prov 10:27, 11:19; Job 36:6, 12, 14; Ps 55:23). Lev 18:22 Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable Homosexuals claim they are born with their sexual preference, but God commands men not to lie with men. This command shows that homosexuals have a sexual choice. Homosexuals CHOOSE to be perverse and ungodly! If homosexuality cannot accomplish God's most basic purpose for men, the reproduction of more worshipers, how is it possible the homosexual lifestyle will be blessed by God? Because homosexuals cannot reproduce children to worship God, He will not bless the participants of homosexuality to the same degree that He blesses practitioners of obedient sex. He will even bless fornicators who birth children to worship Him, more than He blesses homosexuals because, although fornicators are sinning, they are still often producing worshipers. Homosexuality, is worse than other sexual sin, because it is rebellious to the very intent of God. Homosexuality cannot possibly accomplish what God wants: men and women birthing more worshipers. Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. God says that homosexuals will SURELY be put to death. It seems, since governments are sympathetic to their perverse practices, God will execute homosexuals with disease (Dt 28:58-61). Who can deny that AIDS has killed and infected homosexuals more than any other group in the U. S.? And many (not all) non-homosexuals who are infected with AIDS, live lifestyles that are disobedient to God's law, or that sympathize with homosexuals (e.g., drug addicts, bisexuals, fornicators, adulterers, patients of doctors / dentists who are known to be homosexual). Yet, homosexuality and lesbianism NEVER RESULT IN OFFSPRING! It seems that God is implying that the sins of these people are so terrible He will not permit them to reproduce. Balance homosexual and lesbian lifestyles on a scale with all other life forms that reproduce themselves, and it becomes obvious these practices are deviant and abnormal. From this perspective, those we often consider as less blessed have greater blessings in the reproduction arena. For example, homeless people and mothers who habitually remain on government Welfare programs are more blessed than homosexuals and lesbians. God does permit the homeless and the Welfare mothers to bear children. Dt 23:18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God. The Holy Spirit has called male prostitutes that worked in pagan temples, by an uncomplimentary name: "dog." Empirical evidence shows that male prostitutes in those temples were homosexuals.
After calling them "dogs," is it likely that the Living God, Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit will respect homosexuals who call upon Them or worship Them, while they still embrace their perversion?
Though many people are sympathetic to the feelings and problems of homosexuals, this Scripture shows God withdrawing sympathy from certain men, no longer withholding them from exercising their homosexual lusts. In effect, He has released them from the "leash" He was restraining them with, so they could go satiate their perverse lusts. Homosexuals are correct; they cannot help themselves. But they are incorrect when speaking of WHY they cannot help themselves. They are not "born that way." God has withdrawn His protection from them and handed them over to the demonic spirits that were always driving their homosexual lusts; they are controlled by Satan, and now God no longer restrains Satan. Homosexuals must humble themselves before God to reverse their slide into deep depravity. Repentance (asking God to help them turn away from their perverse lifestyle), and begging Christ's mercy is the only possible thing that CAN help them now. In the Bible, to serve His needs, God has used a repentant murderer, a repentant idol worshiper, a repentant adulteress, a repentant thief and a repentant liar. It is noteworthy that the Bible shows no example of God using a repentant homosexual to serve Him. It may be because the Bible has no examples of repentant homosexuals, which supports the notion they have been given over to a reprobate mind. a servant |
